KRISTIAN SMEDS BEKROOND MET DE 'EINO KALIMA PRIZE'

Bij de seizoensopening van Fins Nationaal Theater werd de prestigieuze Eino Kalima Prize ter waarde van 15.000 € uitgereikt aan regisseur Kristian Smeds. Deze prijs wordt driejaarlijks uitgereikt aan een regie, met een compromisloze esthetiek en ethiek, gecreëerd in het Fins Nationaal Theater.

Smeds kreeg de prijs voor zijn interpretatie van de Finse klassieker (roman) van Väinö Linna De onbekende soldaat', welke in première ging in december 2007.

Kristian Smeds was de vorige seizoenen reeds drie keer te zien in KVS en werkt nu aan een nieuwe productie die in februari in de KVS in première gaat. In deze nieuwe voorstelling zal Smeds vorm geven aan zijn visie op de toekomst van de Europese Unie.

KRISTIAN SMEDS REMPORTE LE PRIX « EINO KALIMA »
Le prestigieux prix Eino Kalima d'une valeur de 15.000 € a été décerné au metteur en scène Kristian Smeds lors de l'ouverture de la nouvelle saison du Théâtre National Finlandais. Ce prix est attribué tous les trois ans à une mise en scène à l'esthétique et à l'éthique intransigeante, créée au Théâtre National Finlandais.
Ce prix couronne Kristian Smeds pour son interprétation du roman classique finlandais Soldats inconnus de Väinö Linna, dont la première eut lieu en décembre 2007.

Kristian Smeds, dont le KVS avait déjà proposé trois pièces la saison passée, travaille actuellement sur une nouvelle production qui fera ses débuts au KVS en février. Dans ce nouveau spectacle, Smeds donne forme à sa vision sur l'avenir de l'Union européenne.

KRISTIAN SMEDS AWARDED WITH THE 'EINO KALIMA PRIZE'
During the opening of the season at the Finnish National Theatre, the prestigious Eino Kalima Prize - with a value of €15,000 - was awarded to director Kristian Smeds. This prize is awarded every three years to a production with a no-compromise aesthetic and ethic that is created in the Finnish National Theatre.
Smeds was awarded the prize for his interpretation of Väinö Linna's Finnish classic (novel) 'The Unknown Soldier', which premiered in December 2007.

Kristian Smeds has appeared three times at the KVS during previous seasons and he is currently working on a new production that will be premiered at the KVS in February. Smeds will be giving form to his vision of the future of the European Union in this new production.
